Practice Profile

Joanna joined Courtyard Chambers upon completion of her pupillage at Courtyard Chambers, Wong Man Kit S.C.’s Chambers, Liberty Chambers, and Chambers of Anthony Cheung.

Joanna has an active practice on both civil and criminal areas of work. She is experienced in handling cases from the usual enforcement authorities ranging from Police, Customs & Excise, Immigration to ICAC cases.

For crime, she has worked on cases involve fraud, money laundering, triad, assault, sexual matters, gambling and traffic related offences etc., both at trial and appellate level, as sole advocate and as a led junior. Certain cases concern high profile matters.

For civil, she has experience in handling contract, land, personal injuries, trust, family and matrimonial matters.

She has been recently appointed as a trainer to provide legal courses and training to Immigration Assistants employed by the Immigration Department.

Joanna is fluent in English, Cantonese and Mandarin.
