PRACTICE PROFILE

Wanying joined Courtyard Chambers after completing pupillage at Parkside Chambers, Lawrence Lok Chambers and RW Chambers. She is currently developing a broad mixed practice that encompasses both civil and criminal law, and accepts instructions across all areas of Chambers’ work.

Prior to pupillage, Wanying worked at several international law firms, where she handled listing and compliance matters. This experience gave her valuable commercial insight, which informs her approach to resolving commercial disputes.

Wanying holds the PRC Legal Professional Qualification Certificate (中華人民共和國法律職業資格證書), issued by the Ministry of Justice, PRC after she passed the National Unified Legal Professional Qualification Examination (國家統一法律職業資格考試) in 2018. Having studied in France and the United Kingdom, as well as Hong Kong and mainland China, she brings an international perspective and a strong foundation in mainland Chinese law.

Wanying is well placed to assist mainland clients with litigation in Hong Kong. Drawing on her understanding of mainland clients’ needs and her experience at international law firms, she provides practical advice on cross-border matters.
